Reflection

This project was a really fun one for me. I enjoyed having to explore an architect, Kengo Kuma, whom I have never heard of and learning the philosophies of his. I got to acquire the knowledge of applying certain materials into certain spaces and the reasonings behind them. The research process of my selected building, Asakusa Culture & Tourism Center, was really laborious yet pleasant, as there was not an abundance of data I can obtain online about the building, but having to identify some elements of the building myself brought gratification. One aspect that got me engrossed into the assignment was the freedom of designing the A2 boards to my desire. Ultimately, I hope to be able to experience more projects like this in the following semester.
