DIAGRAMMING ARCHITECTURAL PRINCIPLES
The first project of AD2 required me to work in a group of 6. In this project, we explore architectural designs by means of an analysing tool called diagrams. By producing 2D/3D diagram drawings and diagram models, we study how architecture and spaces are created from its design intentions and architectural elements. Additionally, we are to create basic architectural compositions of solids, planes, lines and frames. Through a draw, each group are assigned a building from a list of architects. Our tasks are to conduct research, investigate and analyse on our assigned building through architectural drawings and utilise diagramming architectural principles and diagrammatic models to express the design intentions.

Reflection

This project introduced a new method of analysis, that would be focal for future projects, in diagramming.  In comparison to the past, I noticed I am able to identify more mistakes made in architectural drawings. Furthermore, I communicated more and was utilising my problem solving skills in proper manner. In the process, I have learnt to be more proactive and take on more responsibility as a group member. I had thankful to have had the opportunity to complete this project with a group of  friendly people. Although we all started of as strangers, I was delighted to have created friendships that would ease my future university life.
